Byqora Souq: buy and sell safely in your city
A free classifieds marketplace for all Arab countries: post an ad with photos, browse by category and city, and message sellers inside the site.
- TypeMarketplace
- Countries22 Arab countries
- StatusLive, free beta
The challenge
Classifieds sites attract spam, fraud and scraping of phone numbers. A useful marketplace needs to be simple for sellers and safe for buyers from day one.
What we built
- Ads with up to 6 photos, resized in the browser before upload
- Six categories, cities per country and the visitor’s country picked automatically
- Messages inside the site, plus an optional WhatsApp button for signed-in users
- Phone numbers never shown as plain text to anonymous visitors
- Reporting: an ad is hidden after three reports until reviewed
- Banned-words check, a daily limit on new ads, and an admin moderation queue
Where it stands
Live at souq.byqora.com since October 2026 as a free beta. A full end-to-end test with two accounts (post, search, edit, message, report, moderate, delete) passes. Sample listings are clearly marked and kept out of search engines.
