Every payment logged, nothing leaves the phone

The challenge

Tracking spending by hand never lasts, and most finance apps ask for bank logins or upload your data. People want the numbers without giving their data away.

What we built

• Imports the existing SMS inbox once, then catches new bank messages as they arrive
• Skips codes, deposits, incoming transfers, refunds and declined payments
• Monthly totals, categories, a calendar and a list of subscriptions
• Detects transfers between your own accounts so they are not counted as spending
• CSV export
• No internet permission at all: the data stays on the phone

Where it stands

Version 2.0 is in daily use. It reads real SMS formats from several Saudi banks and handles SAR, JOD and USD. The message parser is covered by 37 automated tests.
